Meditating on my clients is a crucial piece of the process I use to connect people with their Life Work.
When I sit down to meditate, I specifically ask to be shown what would help move my client forward to achieve their highest good and greatest potential. Sometimes I will get information about what a client needs to heal before they can move forward towards a new career. I have experienced clients as they were in childhood, with wounds that need closure and this allows them to quickly move on to creating their dream Life Work. Other times I receive clues as to the path a client should take, through feelings, images, or sometimes even a single word. I trust the messages that I receive and I don’t judge them.
Numerology was created around 581 B.C. by Pythagoras, the Greek scholar, philosopher and mystic. He believed that each number carried with it a particular energy or meaning, both positive and negative. When we add up the numbers in our birth date, we come up with a number, and that number helps us understand the meaning, or purpose of what we are here to do.
There are three ways to add up your birth date, but I will share the traditional way here. For example, to find the Birth Path number for someone who has a birthday on March 31, 1961, you would add the numbers up this way- March=3
1961= 1+9+6+1=17 1+7=8
This person is on a 6 Birth Path.
Here is a very brief summary of the Birth path traits and a career/Life Path that might be fulfilling.
1- Individuality, leadership, visionary. Be at the helm of a corporation or non-profit.
2- Development and understanding of relationships. Cooperation, team player. Be a public relations representative. 3- Creative self-expression. Be an actor.
4- Hard work and strength. Be an engineer.
5- Freedom, adventure, physical experiences. Be a food or travel writer.
6- Harmony, love, artistic creativity. Be a family therapist.
7- Intellectually and spiritually focused. Be a scientist.
8- Wealth and power. Be an entrepreneur.
9- Humanitarianism, sharing the higher meanings of life. Create a non-profit.
There are also Master Numbers; 11, 22 and 33. I will share more on these numbers in my next blog post. Learning about our Birth Path number gives us insight into who we are and what we came here to do. It gives us self-understanding and relief around what and why we do what we do. It helps us create careers/LifeWork that fulfill us and allows us to complete our mission of learning in this lifetime. For some people, understanding their numerology actually gives them permission for the first time in their lives to show up as who they really are, and that is a very big and rewarding reason to learn more about your numerology.
You’ve lived with yourself for a lot of years now, so you do know a lot about yourself. But I would venture to say that there is still more to uncover. Astrology and numerology are two powerful tools to use to delve even deeper into what makes you tick, why you do what you do and what would make you happy in terms of a career. Something profound happens when you learn about your sign or your number-it can resonate so deeply because for some people it feels like they are finally understood or it is a confirmation of what they already know about themselves. For others, it is the beginning of uncovering things about themselves that they have long ago forgotten. It is amazing to me that these two systems can be so right on.
So why is it important for us to know and understand ourselves? Because we came to this planet to have certain life experiences, to learn lessons and to express our true nature, and if we are not quite sure of who we are, how will we do those things? You did not show up on this planet to simply collect a paycheck and pay the bills. At some point in our lives, many of us determine that fulfillment is critical in our lives and stripping away all that is not our true selves becomes paramount. Really knowing ourselves makes fulfillment attainable, never seeking the truth about who we are makes it almost impossible. We can make a conscious effort to find out about ourselves, or sometimes a job loss, depression or a major life change will force us to find ourselves.
I can help you peel away the layers and uncover what you really came here to do. It’s a journey that you will never regret taking.
